Dr. Tamer Mohsen Khalaf Al-Said is an experienced clinical pathology specialist in Dubai with over 25 years of experience in laboratory medicine and healthcare leadership. He currently serves as the Laboratory Director at Al-Futtaim Health, where he leads advanced diagnostic and quality programs.
Dr. Tamer completed his MBChB degree from Zagazig University, Egypt. He later completed his Master’s degree in Clinical Pathology from Zagazig University. He also achieved his MD in Clinical Pathology from Al-Azhar University, Cairo. His strong academic background supports his expertise in laboratory diagnostics and quality management.
Over the years, Dr. Tamer has led laboratories across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. He served as Laboratory Director at Menalabs Laboratory Group across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Al Ain. He also worked as Infection Control Head and Laboratory Director in Dubai. Dr. Tamer played a key role in preparing laboratories for major international accreditations. These include JCI, ISO 9001, ISO 15189, CAP, and EHSMS standards. He has extensive experience in laboratory planning, quality assurance, and risk management.
He specializes in laboratory medicine disciplines such as clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology. He also supports physicians with accurate test interpretation and cost-effective diagnostic strategies. Dr. Tamer focuses on patient safety and quality improvement.
