Dr. Ioannis Faklaris, DDS, MSc, PhD, is a DHA-licensed General Dentist in Dubai. He has over 35 years of clinical experience in general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. He specializes in smile makeovers, aesthetic dentistry, restorative treatments, oral diagnosis, and dental radiology. Furthermore, his patient centered approach focuses on delivering comfortable, minimally invasive, and evidence based dental care.
Dr. Ioannis earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He later completed a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Oral Pathobiology and Dentomaxillofacial Radiology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In addition, he earned a PhD in Materials Science (Laser ) from the University of Patras, Greece. He has also completed advanced international training in cosmetic dentistry UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) & Switzerland Geneva. Moreover, he trained in ultrasound, sialendoscopy, restorative dentistry, and oral radiology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ioannis has worked in leading hospitals, dental centers, and academic institutions across Greece and the UAE. He has served as a Medical Director, Senior Aesthetic Dentist, Visiting Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry in european university college Dubai, and Head of Dental Departments. In addition to his clinical work, he actively participates in international conferences. He has also published scientific research in oral pathology and dentomaxillofacial radiology.
