Dr. Álvaro Enrique Idrovo Turbay is a DHA-licensed Specialist Cardiologist with more than 10 years of experience in Cardiology. He further completed a Clinical Echocardiography Fellowship at Fundación Cardioinfantil – Universidad del Rosario and an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain.
Dr. Álvaro has extensive experience in echocardiography, including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), 3D echocardiography, strain imaging, and stress echocardiography. He also has experience interpreting Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI and using cardiac imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Dr. Álvaro has performed and interpreted more than 12,000 transthoracic echocardiograms, over 1,300 stress echocardiograms, and more than 900 transesophageal echocardiograms.
