At HealthHub, we always begin with conservative treatments. This includes:
- Nasal sprays (steroids or decongestants)
- Saline rinses
- Antibiotics (if needed)
- Allergy management
Only when medical treatment fails to bring lasting relief do we consider surgical options. If surgery becomes necessary, we aim for the least invasive and most effective solution.
Coblation Technology – Reserved for Complex Cases
While FESS is the standard minimally invasive sinus surgery, our surgeons also have access to coblation-assisted technology when required. Coblation uses low-temperature radiofrequency energy to dissolve soft tissue with precision, minimizing damage to surrounding areas. We reserve this method for select cases that require additional accuracy and tissue preservation. It is not our primary surgical approach but may be used as a last option in specific scenarios.
Benefits of FESS at HealthHub
- Minimally Invasive: Performed through the nostrils – no external scars.
- Quick Recovery: Most patients resume normal activities within a week.
- Effective Relief: Long-term improvement in breathing, sinus drainage, and quality of life.
- Experienced ENT Specialists: Our surgeons are highly trained and focused on patient-centered outcomes.
- Advanced Facilities: Performed in a modern, well-equipped day surgery setting.
Before recommending FESS, our ENT doctors will:
- Conduct a full clinical exam
- Review your symptoms and medical history
- Perform nasal endoscopy if needed
- Recommend imaging (CT scan of sinuses)
If FESS is advised, we will guide you through the entire process — from pre-surgery preparation to recovery and post-operative care.
Post-Surgery Recovery
- Mild nasal congestion or discharge for a few days is normal.
- Use saline rinses as advised.
- Avoid blowing your nose or strenuous activity for 7–10 days.
- Most patients can return to work within a week.
Our team will schedule follow-ups to ensure healing is on track and symptoms are resolved.
