Your first prenatal visit at HealthHub will be a comprehensive one. Our obstetrician will confirm your pregnancy and calculate your due date. We’ll review your medical history (including any prior pregnancies, surgeries, or existing health conditions) and discuss any symptoms you’re experiencing. A thorough physical exam will be done, and we’ll likely perform some initial tests such as blood work (for blood type, anemia, thyroid, etc.) and a urine test. An early ultrasound may be conducted to confirm the viability of the pregnancy and check how far along you are. This appointment is also an opportunity for you to ask questions – whether about medications, safe exercises, or diet – and we’ll provide you with important guidance for the first trimester. By the end of the visit, you will have a clear prenatal care plan, a schedule for future check-ups, and plenty of information to help you through the early weeks of pregnancy.
