Dr. Dawood obtained his M.B.Ch.B. from Mosul University Medical College/Iraq. He then did his residency in Yarmouk teaching Hospital, Baghdad/Iraq to earn his Arab Board in Internal Medicine in 1990. He practiced Medicine in Erbil and later went back to Yarmouk Teaching Hospital. He was running Internal Medicine Clinic as well as The Diabetes Clinic at Yarmouk Hospital and a specialized clinic for Gestational Diabetes and Diabetes during Pregnancy Clinic in Elwiyah Teaching Hospital/Baghdad. He was also mentoring undergraduate medical students as well as Residents doing Arab Board as well as Iraqi Bord studies.
He joined the Diabetic Clinic at Rashid Hospital/DHA in 1999 where he was actively engaged in the management of patients with Diabetes as well as other medical problems, and mentoring students of the Dubai Medical School for Girls. In 2005, he moved to supervise the Diabetic Mini-clinics recently opened in the Primary Care/DHA, where he would train the Physicians and nurses on how to manage the patients with Diabetes. Since 2015, Dr. Dawood has been practicing in the private sector in different hospitals in Abu Dhabi as well as in Dubai.
Dr. Dawood participated in many clinical studies in Iraq as well as in UAE and gave many talks and presentations on Diabetes and other medical subjects.
