Dr. Rasha graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Syria. She has worked in prominent government & private hospitals, both in-patient and out-patient care. Dr Rasha has over 6 years of experience in the field of General Medicine in the UAE & Syria. She been actively involved as a volunteer for several community development activities in the Middle East including the FADA Association. She has special interest in treating lifestyle diseases including diabetes, hypertension and gastroenterological disorders.
Dr. Dawood obtained his M.B.Ch.B. from Mosul University Medical College/Iraq. He then did his residency in Yarmouk teaching Hospital, Baghdad/Iraq to earn his Arab Board in Internal Medicine in 1990. He practiced Medicine in Erbil and later went back to Yarmouk Teaching Hospital. He was running Internal Medicine Clinic as well as The Diabetes Clinic at Yarmouk Hospital and a specialized clinic for Gestational Diabetes and Diabetes during Pregnancy Clinic in Elwiyah Teaching Hospital/Baghdad. He was also mentoring undergraduate medical students as well as Residents doing Arab Board as well as Iraqi Bord studies.
He joined the Diabetic Clinic at Rashid Hospital/DHA in 1999 where he was actively engaged in the management of patients with Diabetes as well as other medical problems, and mentoring students of the Dubai Medical School for Girls. In 2005, he moved to supervise the Diabetic Mini-clinics recently opened in the Primary Care/DHA, where he would train the Physicians and nurses on how to manage the patients with Diabetes. Since 2015, Dr. Dawood has been practicing in the private sector in different hospitals in Abu Dhabi as well as in Dubai.
Dr. Dawood participated in many clinical studies in Iraq as well as in UAE and gave many talks and presentations on Diabetes and other medical subjects.
Dr Salah has previously worked in the UK since 1994, where he received his MRCP. He has been actively involved in research programs related to diabetes and obesity, since 1995.
He was awarded an MSc. in Neuroendocrinology in 1996 at Imperial College, University of London, and a CCST (UK) in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
He continued his clinical and academic work at Hammersmith Hospital and was granted a Ph.D. degree by 2001. Since then, he has worked extensively in the field of diabetes and endocrinology at several hospitals in the UK: London University Hospital, St. Thomas Hospital, and the Brighton University Hospital.
He continued his practice in different positions in the UAE from November 2011 until September 2021. He currently works as a Senior Consultant, Diabetes and Endocrine, and Head of Diabetes and Endocrine Department in University Hospital Sharjah, and Professor, University of Sharjah.
Dr Salah has published many articles in journals recognized by international peers and has been an editor to many journals. He has received personal invitations as a key speaker at international conferences, and top meetings for diabetes.
He is a member of the British Endocrine Society, Diabetes UK, European Society of Diabetes, American Diabetes Association, Association of American College of Endocrinologists, and Emirates Diabetes Society.
Dr. Hasini Perera has more than 7 years of experience as a General Practitioner and graduated from KMC Mangalore, India. Dr. Hasini had spent 4 months practicing in USA and has rewarded her educational and clinical background with completing the USMLE board certification. Dr. Hasini is also known for her ability to manage and treat acute and chronic diseases; diagnose and tackle Hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus (type 2), thyroid disorders, Vitamin deficiencies along with advising patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Dr. Zainab Asghar is a Specialist Family Medicine Physician with over 10 years of experience in both India and UAE. She obtained her MBBS degree from the B.J. Medical College, Pune, in India and her MRCGP (International) from the prestigious Royal College of General Practitioners in UK.

She received a PG diploma in diabetes management in primary care with distinction from the University of Warwick, in UK. Dr. Jimmy has completed his undergraduate training (MBBS) from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, Karnataka. Following a short stint working as a junior resident, he later joined M. S. Ramaiah Medical Teaching Hospital, Bangalore, where he completed his postgraduate training (MD) in Medicine.
He has received a distinction for his studies in diabetes from Cardiff University (UK) where he completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes.
He extended his education with the same prestigious university and was awarded an M.Sc in Diabetes. Subsequently, he was awarded a postgraduate diploma in Acute Medicine and then received a distinction in M.Sc Acute Medicine from the University of South Wales (UK). He has furthered his academic endeavours by obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology from the University of South Wales.
Dr. Ajith Kumar is an alumnus of the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. After his graduation and post-graduation in General Medicine from the Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum, he completed his residency in Endocrinology at PGIMER.
He has a number of publications in peer reviewed medical journals. He regularly attends both national and international conferences and keeps up to date with the new developments in the field of Diabetes and Endocrinology.
The doctor has been working as an Endocrinologist in Dubai for over six years. Prior to that he worked as consultant Endocrinologist at a renowned Multi Specialty Hospital in Kerala, India.
