    Who needs the meningococcal vaccine for Haj?

    All Haj pilgrims, regardless of age, are required by Saudi health authorities to get the meningococcal vaccine to protect against meningitis during the pilgrimage.

    What vaccines are included in the Haj Vaccine Package?

    The package includes the mandatory NIMENRIX® meningococcal vaccine, influenza (flu) vaccine, and for seniors above 65 years, the VAXNEUVANCE® pneumococcal vaccine. An accredited vaccination certificate is also provided.

    When should I get my vaccinations?

    It is highly recommended to receive all vaccinations at least 15 days to one month before travel to allow immunity to build.

    Is the Meningitis vaccine safe?

    Yes, it is safe, well-tolerated, and critical to prevent the rapid spread of bacterial meningitis, which can occur in crowded conditions.

    For 2026, Saudi Arabia has restricted permits for individuals with severe illnesses that could impair their ability to perform rituals, including advanced kidney failure (requiring dialysis), serious heart failure, advanced Alzheimer’s/dementia, and severe cancer
